Your First Visit to Pennsylvania Perio & Implants

Your initial experience begins the moment you walk into our office, which is designed to feel more like a welcoming family home or cozy country cottage than a typical clinic. You’ll find comfortable seating, warm lighting, and home-style décor that puts you at ease, while our experienced front office team provides a warm welcome and ensures all your paperwork and insurance information is properly handled. Dr. Sourvanos treats every patient as if they were family, focusing on building trust and understanding your unique concerns before beginning any examination or treatment planning.

Preparing for Your Visit

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and get settled in our comfortable environment.

  • Medical and Dental History: Bring a complete list of current medications, previous dental treatments, and any relevant medical conditions.
  • Insurance Information: Please bring your insurance card and photo ID so we can verify your benefits and submit claims as an out-of-network provider.
  • Previous Dental Records: If available, bring recent X-rays or treatment records from your general dentist to help us understand your dental history.
  • Questions and Concerns: Prepare a list of any specific symptoms, concerns, or questions you’d like to discuss with Dr. Sourvanos during your consultation.

What to Expect

During your first appointment, Dr. Sourvanos will conduct a comprehensive examination that includes an oral cancer screening, thorough periodontal evaluation, and digital imaging to assess your current oral health status. Our team will also review your dental, medical, and family history to understand how these factors may impact your treatment needs and overall well-being.

You’ll return for a second appointment where Dr. Sourvanos will discuss your findings in detail, review any salivary diagnostics, and work collaboratively with you to create a personalized treatment plan. This two-appointment approach ensures that we have all the information needed to provide you with the most effective, evidence-based periodontal and implant care while giving you time to ask questions and fully understand your treatment options.
